カテゴリアクセサリー、時計懐中時計機械式手巻き状態やや傷や汚れあり（詳細）音響測遠器、昭和１６年製、精工舎、日本帝国軍用 （第二次世界大戦、ストップウォッチ、太平洋戦争）音響測遠器とは空気を伝わる音の速さを基準に距離を測る一種のストップウォッチです。手巻き式。文字盤外周には上（１２時位置）から、１０００～２００００までの目盛りがあり、測遠器として使用する場合の目盛りとなります。文字盤内側には下（６時位置）から、０～６０の目盛りがありストップウォッチとして使用する場合の目盛りとなります。一例としては着弾と同時に計測を開始、音が伝わった時点で計測を止めると、そのときに針が示している目盛りが着弾点からの距離となります。
文字盤内中央に傷跡が有りますが、他は綺麗で、時計は普通に動作します。箱も綺麗です。１０分迄のストップウォッチとしての利用も可能。
Phonotelemeter, Seikosha, make of 1941, as used by the Japanese Imperial militaryA phonotelemeter is a sort of a stop watch used to measure distance based on the speed of sound traveling through air.  Rim side of dial, from top side (12 o'clock,) are the markings from 1,000 to 20,000 used for telemeter purpose.  At inner side of dial, from bottom side (6 o'clock) are the markings from 0 to 60, used for stopwatch readings.  Button on top side of watch is pressed on a timely basis when a canon is fired, and when pressed again when sound of projectile hitting target is heard, the measurment shows distance the projectile travelled.
Center side of dial has a dent, probably incurred during servicing, but otherwise is in good condition.  The timepiece works properly.  The box it came with is also in good condition. Can be used as stopwatch up measuring up till 10 minutes.  Mechanical hand wind.
